
San Jose Digital Media Course
August 11th-14th
Participants will work with instructors of The Stephens Group and museum staff to create vodcasts (or video podcasts) of exhibits from the San Jose Museum of Art. The San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA) is located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The museum will have several technology related exhibits that coincide with the course. The two large downstairs exhibits will be devoted to artwork from the San Jose Zero One Festival an international festival that celebrates art, science and technology. There will also be a robotic exhibit which features artists whose artwork focuses on robots.
Who should come to the course? This course is designed for K-12 teachers, Library Media Specialists, Principals, Curriculum Coordinators, and Technology Integration Specialists. Teachers can also bring students in grades 7-12 are also welcome to attend the conference with their teachers. Both platforms, Mac and PC will be supported. All comfort levels with technology are encouraged to attend.

Participants will be able to take the course for one graduate credit or for 2.4 Continuing Education Units (CEU) through Sonoma State University . The cost is for $50 for 1 graduate credit and $45 for CEUs.
The course has been approved for the EETT (Ed Tech) K-12 Voucher Program .
